A WORD FROM OUR EDITOR

Being a 40-something Xennial (born in the overlap of Gen-X and Millennials) I grew up alongside the internet, which means I’ve always viewed it as a human-made tool. Not so for today’s kids, the Generation Alphas, who enter this world knowing screens as entertainers and all-knowing educational aids. My own toddlers spent the pandemic years engrossed in tablets while I worked. And as school-agers, they think wifi is just part of the natural air they breathe (and free, I might add). Now, with equal doses of Gen-X ire and Millennial anxiety, I turn to trusted experts to inform me on how to guide my kids’ rampant technology use. Microsoft understands this, providing research-based solutions for screen time, family internet safety tips, plus easy ways kids can use tech to stay organized. Wishing your family a beautiful spring filled with sunshine, flowers, and all-day outdoor play— ‘80s style.
