THE ROUNDUP: 18 Holiday Movies to Check Out This Season 🎁 🍿 🕎

You probably already have your family favourites (and we’re betting they include National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Elf and Home Alone) but we thought we’d give you a few more options to try this season. It might feel a little early, but with American Thanksgiving wrapping up right about now, it’s full-steam ahead into the holidays. 🎉 Festive tip: Put all of the age-appropriate-for-your-fam movie titles into a hat and draw a movie every Friday until the new year. Vow to give it a chance. You never know—you might just create a new family tradition.

🍿 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) Vintage claymation FTW.

🍿 Eight Crazy Nights (2002) You can’t go wrong with animated Adam Sandler.

🍿 A Christmas Story (1983) If you’ve never met Ralphie and witnessed his quest for a Red Ryder BB Gun, make sure you do this year.

🍿 Gremlins (1984) Okay, wild card here. But sometimes you need a break from the warm and fuzzy, and it takes place at the holidays. Post-bedtime for this one!

THE REEL DEAL:
‘Tis the Season for Packed Schedules and Zero Downtime 🤪 🗓 🤭

The reel is too real. So while it’s pretty funny, this is your reminder to make time for yourself in the weeks ahead. Say yes to the events you really want to attend and otherwise, just take the holidays at your own speed. It’s been a long year, and many people are struggling. It’s okay to do whatever feels best to you.

P.S. Our executive editor, Katie, sent this reel to two of her parent friends two weeks ago to kick off planning a night out. They still haven’t been able to find a date that works. 😂
