THE DEBATE: Should You Post Pictures of Your Kids on Social Media? 📱 📸 👨‍👦‍👦

Social media is a fraught subject. For many people, it’s an opportunity to stay connected with friends and family; for others, it’s anxiety-inducing, and a detriment to their wellbeing. But whether you’re a fan of social media or not, you might have a different POV when it comes to posting stuff about your kids.

With that in mind, we asked two parents to weigh in on whether or not sharing your child’s face, milestones, achievements and more is a good idea. Here’s a snapshot of what they said:

YES:

…If you use caution, the benefits of documenting your baby’s photos on social media can outweigh the risks. Many of us have friends and family in far-flung places. Social media is a tool for staying in each other’s lives.” —Lisa Bendall

NO:

Given that so much of our lives are lived through cyberspace these days, I didn’t want to create a digital footprint for my son that would haunt him in his teen years.” —Lisa Evans
