THE POLL: How Well Do You Know the Parents of Your Kid’s Friends? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 👋

We’ve all been there. Your kid comes home from school with a tiny scrap of paper bearing a friend’s phone number. You know it’s 2023, and this isn’t a landline; this is the personal cell phone of a parent. So you tentatively text to introduce yourself and schedule a play date. They don’t tell you their name in the reply, and you don’t think to ask. Thus, their name is forever “John’s Mom” or “Olivia’s Dad” in your phone. (Get ready—with a two-week school break upon us, those random phone numbers are coming home tomorrow.)

But this reel raised an interesting question at ParentsCanada HQ. Is it common to become close with the parents of your child’s friends? Tell us your take below!
