Are You For or Against Loot Bags?
Our editor, Katie, has always had a rule about loot bags: If you have to do them (and you don’t), the contents should be edible or useful. But not everyone feels this way. Some parents love how excited their kids get over these parting gifts. Tell us: How do you feel about loot bags?

Find some space with this “good,” “better” and “best” approach, from our resident tech expert Marc Saltzman.
GOOD: Connect your device to a PC or Mac, and manually dragging and dropping all the media over to the computer. You can do this with the phone or tablet’s charging cable.
BETTER: Consider a cloud service. Your photos and videos can be uploaded to a password-protected server in cyberspace, just in case your iPhone or iPad is lost, stolen or damaged. You can also set up your device to automatically upload a copy of a photo or video whenever you shoot them.
BEST: The quickest, easiest and most affordable solution for big payoff is to consider a specialty thumb drive. If you haven't seen these, they're flash drives that snap into an iPhone or iPad's charging port. No internet connection or subscription is required. (These are available for Android devices, too!
