THE RECIPES
4 Sheet Pan Meals for Busy Weeknights (Plus a Bonus Dessert!)
Sheet pan meals are exactly what they sound like…a whole meal made on a baking sheet. (Fun fact: They’re called “tray bake” meals in the UK!) They usually involve a protein—chicken, sausage, meatballs, even tofu—and a veggie or two, and you just throw the whole affair in the oven. You’ll probably have to flip the ingredients halfway through, and you might need to mix a sauce or assemble a side salad, but otherwise, it’s set and forget.
Check out some of our favourite sheet pan meals below!
Warm Greek Chicken Salad
Paprika-Rubbed Sheet Pan Chicken with Lemon
Hoisin Pork Tenderloin
One-Pan Chicken Thighs with Sweet Potato Wedges
+ BONUS: Sheet Pan Strawberry Shortcake
TIP: If you want to try your hand at winging a sheet pan meal, it’s actually pretty easy. Just choose a protein and veg that can be baked at the same oven temperature for roughly the same amount of time. A quick google will tell you what’s compatible!

THE QUESTION BOX
Why Is My Child Having a Meltdown Every Day After School?
Believe it or not, there’s actually a name for that moment every afternoon when your child seems to go to pieces. It’s called “after-school restraint collapse,” and it’s waaaay more common than you might think.
School involves a lot of stimulation—from bright lights and heightened noise levels, to non-stop interacting with other kids and teachers. School also comes with a lot of expectations and rules to follow. Children are on their best behaviour at school, trying to follow all of the rules, and, at the same time, their brains are working hard to recall information. The school day is also full of emotions, which children often suppress in order to get through to dismissal time.
Once they’re at home in their safe space—kaboom! All of the emotions that they’ve been keeping under wraps get released as behaviours that don’t always make sense to parents.
The good news is, there are some simple things you can do to help mitigate and manage this behaviour. Tap the button below for the whole story.
